 1) How does An Unearthly Child reflect the social and historical contexts of the 1960s?

An Unearthly Child tells us about social and historical contexts in 1960s that men were treated with more respect and women were treated with less respect it also tells us that people in the 1960s are fascinated with space and technology because the first man in space was in 1961 and the first man who landed on the moon was in 1969

2) How might audiences have felt towards science fiction in the 1960s

The audience felt fascinated by science fiction because they want to know whats going on because in 1961 the first man was in space then a few years later first man on the moon

1) Choose three key moments in the episode and write an NCIS analysis for those clips. You can use your notes from the screening in class or use this Google document of our class notes combined (you'll need your GHS Google login). Make specific, detailed references using media terminology (e.g. media language - camera shots, diegetic/non-diegetic sound, mise-en-scene etc.)

Narrative: The teacher enter the TARDIS shocked and bewilder they have an argument with the doctor they want to get out but the doctor locks the doors Susan begs her grandfather (the doctor) to let teacher go but the doctor told Susan to shut up then the TARDIS takes off and they enter a new era.

Character:  The doctors facial expression is calm and serious Barbara faints into a chair Susan is scared and ian is shocked and scared
