Galaxy advert: Representations

1 ) Why is the advert set in the 1950s? What audience pleasure does this provide? 

It gives the audience pleasure to go back in time and see what the 1950s was like

  Audrey Hepburn was the princess and the bus driver was the false hero

3) How does the advert's narrative (story) follow Todorov's theory of equilibrium?

The equilibrium was when Audrey Hepburn was stuck on the bus and the disequilibrium was when the bus hit into the shop which caused the bus to stop the new equilibrium was when the man in the car came and took Audrey Hepburn to her location

  Audrey Hepburn is a famous actress who was the main character of Roman holiday

5) Why did Galaxy select Audrey Hepburn for this advert? 

Galaxy selected Audrey Hepburn for this advert because she sadly died in 1993at the age of 63

Intertextuality is when the media product makes a reference to another media product to interest and engage the audience

The clamps of Audrey Hepburn is that the costume is the same dress she wore in her old film Roman holiday and the setting was in Italy which was the same setting as her film Roman Holiday

The Connotations of Audrey Hepburn brought tears to peoples eyes this is because in the late 

1950s to 1960s she was a huge a Hollywood star and this might remind an older Audience about her

The representations of gender is reinforced this is because they had a women who took control over a man and in the 1950s men were more strict towards women

Stereotypes were reinforced in the galaxy advert this is because Audrey Hepburn was taking control of the man in the car and in the 1950s women were seen less superior
